Dynamic Meadow to complement an architect designed house
The architect owner of a newly enlarged and radically converted house clad in charred birch asked for a garden to set off the strong architectural features of the house and hard landscaping of black, precast concrete. Daniel designed planting in meadow form which provided all year round texture, colour and above all, movement. Along one boundary he arranged a row of fastigated ginkgo biloba; deciduous trees with distinguished bright green leaves turning a deep butter yellow in autumn.
